Introduction

Before using advanced technology, our form of mass communication was through traditional media, which were television, radio, cold calls, billboards, and print mediums such as books, magazines, and newspapers. But as technology slowly emerged with technological advancementsMulti-media examples, traditional media was integrated with technology forming multi-Media.

Multimedia is the amalgamation of traditional media and technology to communicate and express mass media. Multi-media examples are animated videos, video podcasts, CDs, music, text, images, and films. But as we progress further into the 21st century, and with technology still on the rise, a new form of media is being created which is New Media. New media is any form of media created and delivered digitally through smartphones, computers, or digital applications. This type of media consists of video games, social media platforms, emails, blogs, and e-publications. With these transformations, our media have changed from an oligarchy system to a more user-controlled system because users can and are given the ability to control the media they use, see, and control.

New media is not a form of media of the past but a form of future media as society…
